Qualifications

Electronic Billing Systems Analyst

Summary

The Electronic Billing Systems Analyst will be a subject matter expert (SME) in billing processes, will be part of the billing/revenue cycle team, and will work with other business analysts, end-users, developers, and other stakeholders in gathering all functional requirements for new features to be introduced into our electronic billing module. The selected candidate must have excellent analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills. Must translate complex business requirements into accurate and professional grade documents outlining all functional and technical specifications of new functionalities, interfaces, and/or product enhancements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  •  Engage in functional analysis sessions with lead designers, management, end-users, developers, software architects, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to gather and translate functional requirements, related to billing processes, into detailed Functional Requirement Specification documents.

  •  Validate software requirements with end users, management, and other stakeholders.

  • Assess technical feasibility of introducing new requirements against current functionality and product architecture.

  •  Make recommendations on software enhancements to improve product usability and/or integration with external systems.

  • Engage in technical/architectural sessions with Design Leads, and other team members, related to electronic billing and/or other billing functionalities.

  • Create detailed architectural professional grade documents that might include highly technical elements.

  • Aid the Quality Assurance team in validating that all requirements are met by performing functional testing.

  • Development of new billing interfaces or modifications of existing ones.

  • Development of back-end systems to achieve integration with billing clearinghouses.

Qualifications

The person occupying this role MUST have all of the following qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2-3 years hands on experience in database design and data modeling 

  2. Minimum of 2-3 years experience using SQL Server and MS Visual Studio data modeling, design, and data migration tools

Database Designer

Summary

Fully responsible for visualizing and designing detailed data models of all product databases within the organization, including all required logical and physical design elements and relationships, with emphasis on achieving the optimal data structure for optimal performance and following the best practices in the database design field.

Ratings

  • Translate business requirements into a robust data model by defining the optimal table structures, relationships, and data partitioning 

  • Establish, document, and enforce a database design standard based on industry best practices that will be used across the organization 

  • Define all tables, columns, data types, constraints, and primary keys, adopting and enforcing an optimal naming convention for all design elements 

  • Apply normalization techniques to ensure tables are structured correctly 

  • Follow the best performance practices at all times in all designs, as well as modify existing databases to optimize performance 

  • Design, code, document, and test stored procedures and triggers. 

  • Design, document, and implement data migration and conversion strategies for system conversions and/or product upgrades.
